What do you need ?
1tbsp Cooking oil
200g Diced Turkey
1 Onion Diced
2 tbsp garam masala
1/2 tsp crushed dried chilli or cayenne pepper
1/2 butternut squash cut into 1/2inch cubes
2 garlic cloves crushed
400g tinned chopped tomatoes
300ml Veg stock
2 carrots cut into 1/2inch cubes
1 medium potato cut into 1/2inch cubes
150g frozen peas
1/4 pint double cream or greek yogurt
Rice to serve
What you need to do..
1. Pre heat slow cooker if necessary (See manufactures instructions)
2. Heat oil in a frying pan
3. Fry turkey in batches to seal then transfer to slow cooker
4. Fry onion until softened about 5min
5. Stir in spices and cook for another 2min
6. Add veggies and cook for another 2min
7. Add tinned tomatoes and veg stock, bring to the boil and cook for 5min
8. Transfer all the ingrediants to slow cooker and cook on low 8/10hrs Med 5hrs
9. Add peas and cream, mix and cook on high for 20min.
This recipe also lends its self to prawns too,
